Babies and Decorating
So, for the most part, my life is consumed with Babies and Decorating my house (for the 1st time : ). Thank you, Sarah for getting me going there! But below, I do have 2 new art things I have done, and when I have more time, I will upload pix of my newly decorated house!
Unnamed Elephant: Any ideas???
Remembering the Elee's
Some of you haven't seen my sweet Elee's in a long time, so here is a trip up Memory Lane:
Oh Susanna, oh don't you cry for her! She is sweet and talented, and check out that balance!
Truman, the cute little guy! He just loves animals and pretending! Can you see what he is here?
Penelope is my favorite, and Mariah's too, for that matter! She is a "Soul Sister". She has heart!
Gymnastics is Harriet's thing. Don't let size define you!
Oh Margaret, The Classic...She began it all with her sweet ballet!

Sophie Shouts Hallelujah!
I am still at it...I still LOVE elephants!
This is my newest elephant, made for my inspirational Aunt, who is a REAL-TIME crafter! Check her stuff out on etsy. Her shop is called Heartrocks!
Sophie is probably the prettiest elephant I have ever made. She is shouting Hallelujah, praising everything that is good!

Mariah's Birthday Gifts
Mariah's birthday is coming up! I have been hard at work for several months making her gifts. Here is two of them!

Hazel Ross is my neighbor, and she walked me through making this quilt for Mariah. It is called a "running fence" pattern. These are the colors I am doing in Mariah's room. I loved learning how to do the ruffle on this quilt. It isn't done by the traditional thread that you pull and it frequently breaks method! I'll show you how to do it sometime if you come visit!

This is a pillow I threw together with the extra material! Don't look too closely. Hazel wasn't looking over my shoulder on this one!

This is a drawing I did of Mariah. I loved the picture we have of her like this and thought it would look good in black and white contrasts! It wasn't exactly like I imagined, but they never are really!
I also put together a playroom for Mariah. I will post pictures soon!

Festival Drawing

Kara and Ryan wanted Heber and I to do a drawing they could use to find sponsors for the festival of trees. They wanted to be able to show businesses a visual idea of what they were contemplating doing for a tree in hopes of receiving donations. Ryan is the salesman. Kara is the artistic director. Heber is the architect, and I am the artist. Here is what we came up with!
